1203 Planning Office

(A) There is hereby established a Planning Office, which shall be located with the Executive branch of government.

(B) The Planning Office shall be responsible for developing overall plans for the Tribe for both long-term and short-term purposes, which address land use and acquisition issues, potential economic development activities, community development needs, infrastructure assessments, and any other topics identified by the Chief or his designee.

(C) The Planning Office shall develop a list of grant opportunities available to the Tribe, and shall assist the Tribe and its Departments with the preparation and submission of grant applications.

(D) The Council hereby authorizes the establishment of the Planning Office, subject to an appropriation of funds in an Annual Budget or Budget Modification for such purpose.
