The Cultural Protection Department of the Upper Mattaponi Tribe is hereby created. The Cultural Protection Department will be responsible for the preservation of the Tribe’s cultural heritage along with any other responsibilities under Upper Mattaponi Law. The Department may accomplish this through lectures, discussions, workshops, classes, demonstrations, or working to repatriate lost artifacts of the Tribe.
